I’m one of Gochkeys’ founders and current partners, as well as the company’s head of all recruiting operations. What’s your role with Gochkeys?
I’m in charge of all of Gochkeys’ day-to-day operations. This means I:
Find and develop new clients and searches
Oversee all recruiting operations
Handle all of our administrative needs.

Boy, that sounds like a lot. Do you like it?
I love it. Running a small recruiting firm allows me the flexibility to address my client’s needs in the fastest, most creative, and most effective ways possible. Every day I come to the office with a smile on my face because while I do the same types of tasks, I never know what fascinating person will be on the phone next. I often say my job is the best because I get to say “huh!” dozens of times a week as I learn something new from our clients and candidates. Most importantly, this role allows me the schedule flexibility to speak when it’s good for you while being an available husband to my wife (a very busy immigration attorney) and a present father to my 2 young daughters. What originally attracted you to working at Gochkeys?
I knew from age 8 that when I won the school-wide candy sale I wanted to do professional sales, but my early attempts to sell copiers, software, plastic resin, and audio equipment didn’t work out. A good friend and owner of a local medical device injection molder was constantly complaining about his hiring challenges, and from that idea, Gochkeys’ was born. 15 years later we’ve now partnered with over 30 custom & contract manufacturers and over 50 of their hiring managers, leaving me extremely proud of the contribution our 100+ placements have made to make the world a better place.
What’s got you excited about Gochkeys’ future?
Just about everything. We have a brand new office, a new dedicated recruiter to increase the number of searches we can handle, and we’re hiring. When I walk the MD&M trade shows these days I feel like a Senior instead of a Freshmen — I take so much pride in how many faces I now recognize and smile when they see me. A.I. is going to be an amazing new assistant, allowing us to respond to our client’s needs even faster. We’re launching a new website to help generate even more enthusiasm, and most importantly we’ve broken revenue records in the last 2 years.
